Nach ihrem Erfolg mit dem brachialen "Suicide seasons" wagten Bring Me The Horizon mit "There is a hell, believe me I've seen it. There is a haven, let's keep it a secret" den Schritt vom Deathcore hin zum Metalcore. Das Album wird vom düster-mystischen "Crucify me" eröffnet und von der brachialen Hymne "Anthem" nahtlos fortgesetzt. Danach punktet "There is a hell..." mit dem eher poetischen "It never ends" und dem brutalen Höhepunkt "Alligator blood". Mit diesem Output haben Bring Me The Horizon ihren Sound noch einmal um ein gutes Stück verbessert, wenn nicht gar perfektioniert.
